The Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf received, on Monday at the ministry's headquarters, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation of the United Republic of Tanzania, Mrs. Stergomena Tax, in working visit to Algeria. During the meeting which takes place on the eve of the 5th session of the Joint Cooperation Commission between the two countries which will be co-chaired by Mr. Attaf and his Tanzanian counterpart, the two parties reviewed several issues inherent in Algerian-Tanzanian relations. , as well as the latest continental and international developments. The two officials discussed, in particular, the developments of the crisis in Niger and the latest developments in Libya and Mali, and in the Sahel region in general, in addition to the question of decolonization in Western Sahara. Emphasis was also placed on the repercussions of the crisis between Russia and Ukraine on Africa, particularly in terms of the threat to the food and energy security of the countries of the continent.
